Big Boiling Pot Restaurant
Characterized by complete types of volcanoes, new erupted eras, rich species and unusual landscape, the Volcano Park Scenic Area is a national geological park integrating volcano sightseeing, outdoor recreation, health care, geological and scientific research and science popularization education. It’s certified as one of the national 5A-level scenic areas in 2016 as an important part of the Volcano Park and Thermal Sea Resort Area.
The Thermal Sea Scenic Area boasts the richest geothermal resources of Tengchong, and one of the top 3 geothermal regions in China. Its good reputation of “an expanse of thermal sea” can be traced back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. The geothermal resources here have multiple prominent features, such as fumaroles, steaming ground, boiling springs, geysers, hot spring sinter and hydrothermal explosions. Its heat discharges are equivalent to burn 270,000 tons of standard coal a year. To date, the active magma pocket with a diameter of about 15 km and a depth of only 7 km still constantly supply thermal energy to the scenic area.
Yugu Hot Spring is built according to the mountain topography, and covers an area of 10,530 m2. Its 4,689 m2 of landscape are dotted with pavilions and terraces, small bridges and flowing stream, vigorous flowers and trees, 22 hot water bathing pools, 8 private hot water bathing houses, and two natural geothermal steam bath areas, so that the whole building layout and the natural landscape of the hot springs are organically combined, constituting a rich and colorful picture of hot spring spa culture and garden art. It is a world of hot spring health care in the mountains worthy of the name.
Located in the picturesque Thermal Sea Scenic Area, The Jade Spring Hotel was opened in January 2011 and is a high-end hot spring villa hotel with the architectural concept of “one family, one villa and one hot spring bathing pool” and 24-hour housekeeper service. The hotel covers a total area of 9,512.3 m2, and has one conference room for 60 people and one for 90 people, a hot spring western-style restaurant, 16 semi-detached villas, 3 detached villas and one presidential suite, which can accommodate more than 130 people at the same time.
The five-star Big Boiling Pot Restaurant, a land of idyllic beauty, is located in the Thermal Sea Scenic Area which is surrounded by mountains. Its modern multi-functional hall can accommodate 300 people for dining, and also provide beautiful singing and dancing performance at the same time. The banquet hall can accommodate 100 people, the 7 VIP garden landscape private rooms can accommodate 120 people, and the whole restaurant can accommodate up to 500 people to dine simultaneously. In addition, the restaurant can also receive all kinds of tour groups, hold meetings, and provide temporary hot spring special dining services.
