Pleated Skirt- like Sinter

The high temperature spring water of Pearl Spring, Glasses Spring, Gumming Spring and Songzi Well that we are going to visit flows down the slope for years, during which the silicon, sodium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur ions in high concentration are separated out when the temperature and solubility gradually decrease, thus forming colorful pleated precipitates that resemble gorgeous pleated skirts. This is why this area is named as the “Pleated Skirt-like Sinter”. sinter are the chemical precipitates on the earth’s surface of the geothermal water and steam dissolved with minerals and mineral salts, and can be divided into colorful siliceous sinter, calcsinter, sulfur sinter, and nitre sinter, etc.
